Exfo Otdr Trace File Viewer Software !NEW!

An on-line trained technician from Yokogawa told me that this software is not intended for OTDR measurement and analysis. But it is perfect for viewing and visualizing traces. I like this software a lot. It is far better than looking into a trace file on a screen in a dark room. It is also far better than having to look for your trace file in your hard drive.

I am trying to understand how it works. Looking at the Internet for a while I found a trial version from Yokogawa. After installing it I found my trace file under an icon on my desktop. It looked like this:

The software has a few different views. I could view the trace as a list, a histogram or a graph. If I changed the theme between dark and light, everything started to look more friendly for me. If I zoom in or out of the trace, the grid lines of the trace gets displayed better. Moreover, if I zoom in or out, the histogram displays a more accurate measurement.

You can also open trace file by clicking on Open and then on Open File. You can also quickly open trace file stored locally by clicking on Open and then selecting the file. You can also access your trace from the left menu bar by clicking on File and then selecting Open Trace.If you prefer to work with standard OTDR trace files -.You can simply click on Open and then select your trace file. There is also the possibility to select file by clicking on Open and then selecting the file.
