On 18 September 2012, Jagex implemented the most extreme ban the game has ever seen. It was only designed to allow a maximum of three macros per cheat code to be used, and it was intended that once a macro had been banned, it would be impossible for the user to use it again. However, it has left many players with broken accounts and some with completely invalid accounts. Many people still use macros although they know that they could get caught. The bans usually last seven days and can be extended. Most people will use alternate accounts, and they change their account names frequently. Users are also given a warning when another player is using a banned cheat. The ban usually comes with a warning that the user will be banned if they are caught, and a form is used for users to fill in why they are changing their account and why the bot is not banned. Some people simply fill in the form with random information to avoid ban.
Macros are usually software that allows a computer to control a game. They are commonly used for gambling and for cheating in other games, and they also have a large amount of cosmetic use. Macros are used for many things such as macros that play music, macro cheats such as incorrect aim of weapons, macros that perform actions and macros that alter the game in a way that the user does not know. Most players use macros that have a fake name or a random name in order to conceal their nature. As Jagex bans macros, players have to use alternate accounts.
In mid-April 2011, Jagex released some more updates for the game. These updates focused on the use of macros and they included a number of changes to the way that the game deals with them. These updates included a redesign of the macro checking and banning system, the addition of a new warning system, the removal of the ability to create macros from most areas of the game and the addition of a VAC ban system.
In early January 2011, Jagex introduced a new form of botting, called Macro bots. These are scripted bots that do have access to the game's code and are able to perform their actions directly from within the code. One of the most common uses of macro bots is for using the ingame auction house. The auction house allows players to sell items at a price they set and provides a percentage of the profit. The auctions are run in real-time and players can either place a bid and wait for another player to place a higher bid or they can place a bid manually.
Peer Group Questions – Think about the size of the private equity firm and the industry you are applying to. How did the firm decide to go with that size? Can you think of a situation where a firm would consider a different size? What kind of questions would you ask to determine whether a particular size or industry is right for you?
To decide which one should you opt for, one needs to look at the business as a whole. Doing so will give a better understanding of how the business functions, how profitable it is, how the management team is doing and what problems it might face in the future. It also helps to determine if there are any other reasons as to why you should or shouldn’t be interested in the company. Companies with a higher ROE are considered more attractive as well as have a higher Return on invested capital (ROIC). This helps determine if you need to invest in the company. 827ec27edc
